1. The World’s Most Extraordinary Homes
Even though we included this show in our last Netflix show recommendation list, we’ve included it again since it’s such a popular show. This property series follows award-winning architect Piers Taylor and actress and property enthusiast Caroline Quentin as they discover the world’s most extraordinary abodes. The pair travel far and wide, across mountains, through forests, along coasts and deep underground to find unique properties.
2. Million Dollar Listing
Each show follows the professional and personal lives of real estate agents in a major American city as they sell high-priced properties, providing viewers with an inside look at the world of high-priced real estate. The success of the show in Los Angeles spawned three other shows in the same franchise:
- Million Dollar Listing Miami
- Million Dollar Listing New York
- Million Dollar Listing San Francisco
3. Million Dollar Beach House
A reality TV series that first premiered on Netflix in 2020, Million Dollar Beach House documents ambitious realtors that sell luxurious listings in The Hamptons. The cast consists of:
- J.B. Andreassi
- Michael Fulfree
- James “Jimmy” Giugliano
- Noel Roberts
- Peggy Zabakolas
There are currently 6 episodes in season 1, but there has been no confirmation of a second season as of yet.
4. Love It or List It
Interior designer Hilary Farr and real estate agent David Visentin compete for the hearts of disgruntled homeowners looking to renovate or sell their homes. David locates real estate listings that meet the homeowners’ needs and budget in order to persuade them to sell their current home and purchase a new one, while Hilary redesigns parts of the current home based on the homeowner’s wishes and their budget. The homeowners must decide whether to “Love It,” which means they will stay in their current home after renovations, or “List It,” which means they will buy one of the homes David showed them and sell their current home.
5. Selling Sunset
The Oppenheim Group, a high-end real estate brokerage firm with offices in West Hollywood and Newport Beach, serves as the setting for this television series, which follows a group of agents as they balance their personal and professional lives. First premiering in March of 2019, the show has gone on for 5 successful seasons.
6. Stay Here
Stay here focuses on renovations and home improvements. First released in August 2018, a designer and real estate broker work together to transform short-term rental homes into cash-flowing machines.
7. Tiny House Nation
The tiny house movement has gained a lot of traction over the last few years. In this series, renovation experts John Weiestbarth and Zach Giffin help families across the United States by building their dream homes, usually no more than 500 square feet. There are currently 5 seasons and 83 episodes available to watch on Netflix.
8. Grand Designs
Featuring unusual and sophisticated architectural home building projects, Grand Designs has 22 seasons and a total of 212 episodes available to watch. Each episode focuses on a different person who has decided to pursue their dream of building their own home. Follow Kevin McCloud as he aims to complete these builds on time and within the allotted budget.
9. Marriage or Mortgage
This series follows an engaged couple who is faced with a challenging decision. Will they choose fairy-tale nuptials or a dream home? Naturally, Holmes tries to urge them to invest in a home for their future while Miller tries to get them to spend their money on a lavish wedding.
10. Amazing Interiors
Amazing Interiors focuses primarily on homes with unusual interiors. The idea of the program is to identify and highlight houses that, although having unremarkable exteriors, contain distinctive, custom interiors. It’s the cliché “don’t judge a book by its cover.”
11. Interior Design Masters
Interior designers compete for a chance to work with a prestigious commercial customer and a contract that might change their lives. Watch as they compete over 8 weeks with 8 different challenges.
12. Instant Hotel

13. Dream Home Makeover
Dream Home Makeover follows Shea and Syd McGee (of Studio McGee) as they help real families realize their dreams of updating their homes to reflect their own distinct styles. The budgets specified by the clients vary greatly, as some projects involve only a single room, while others involve entire homes.
14. Unsellable Houses
Lyndsay Lamb and Leslie Davis are twin sisters who own a real estate company while also helping homeowners sell what appear to be unsellable homes. By renovating, updating, and staging, Lyndsay and Leslie get top dollar for their clients. The initial investment for renovation is made by the sisters. Then, once the house sells, they subtract their investment from the profits and split the remainder with the homeowners.
15. Property Brothers
Twin brothers Drew Scott and Jonathan Scott help families find, buy, and transform fixer-uppers into dream homes on a strict timeline and budget. Drew is a real estate expert who searches for and negotiates the purchase of a fixer-upper, and Jonathan, is a licensed contractor who then renovates the house.
16. Married to Real Estate
Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson help clients move into a dream neighborhood they never imagined they could afford, all while managing their busy family. Egypt uses her market knowledge and keen eye for design to find affordable properties in desirable locations for her clients. Mike and his team then design a stunning home with smart renovations that boost its value and return on investment, and the two of them turn regular houses into dream homes.
